Using this tool
Inspect UTF-16 or Unicode code-point escapes and decode them back to text.
Actions: Encode · Decode
Example
Choose code-point format and Encode: the emoji uses one \u{1f600} escape instead of a UTF-16 surrogate pair.

Scope and limitations
- Decoding supports \uXXXX and \u{XXXXX}, rejecting out-of-range code points and unpaired surrogates.
Common mistakes
- This is not a general JSON string decoder: non-Unicode escapes such as \n are not turned into newlines.
